The Unitarian Society of New Haven (USNH) has shared the news of the death of New Haven Bird Club member Toby Appel. Toby died peacefully on March 18, 2026 at St. Raphael’s hospital. Toby served for years on the USNH Library and Archives committee and was a longtime organizer of the annual USNH Passover Seder. Toby joined the New Haven Bird Club in 2002.
The Society is having a memorial service for Toby on Thursday, April 30 at 10:30 am. People can attend in person or virtually. The address for the Society is 700 Hartford Turnpike, Hamden, CT 06517.
