Field Trip – NEW Impromptu Bird Walk – Stratford Point – Frank Mantlik

Join expert birder Frank Mantlik from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2026 for a special bird walk at Stratford Point, which is normally closed on weekends. Especially with afternoon light conditions, this is a great site to see winter waterfowl including sea ducks, loons, and gannets, and the coastal meadows can harbor raptors and land birds.

Meet at Stratford Point, 1207 Prospect Drive in Stratford, by 1:00 pm at the latest. Park along Prospect Drive until Frank can open the gate to let the cars inside. Afterwards the gate will be closed. Binoculars and scopes are recommended. There will be no bathroom facilities available, so please plan accordingly.
