We are seeking volunteer Osprey nest stewards!
Osprey Nation is a citizen science initiative focused on tracking the health and success of Connecticut’s Osprey population. From casual birdwatchers to devoted Osprey enthusiasts and full-on bird nerds, we welcome you to join our passionate team of stewards this season.
Volunteers monitor assigned nest(s) weekly throughout the season, recording activity on nesting pairs, breeding behavior, and reproductive success. Learn more about the program by visiting https://ctaudubon.org/conservation/science/osprey-nation.
We especially welcome volunteers with kayaks, boats, or optical equipment like spotting scopes to help monitor nests that are difficult to access.
