Connecticut partners in bird watching
The Hartford Audubon Society is a independent birding organization similar in age to the NHBC.
Connecticut Ornithological Association is responsible for maintaining state records and coordinates major activities like the Christmas counts. They also have educational opportunities, walks and conferences. COA maintains a very valuable combined calendar of all birding activities in Connecticut.

Connecticut Audubon is an independent Audubon organization headquartered in Fairfield and custodian of Milford Point and other beautiful sanctuaries
Audubon Connecticut is the state office of the National Audubon Society and has centers in Southbury, Greenwich, and Sharon and a network of chapters and sanctuaries across the state.
The Audubon Alliance for Coastal Waterbirds is a partnership between local conservation organizations formed to protect shoreline nesting bird species, such as the Piping Plover, Least Tern, and American Oystercatcher, through monitoring and outreach.
