Field Trip -Edgewood Park, New Haven – Bill Batsford

Due to the forecast for bad weather on Saturday this walk will be moved to Sunday March 12
Join Bill Batsford for a late winter walk at this urban park with varied habitat including woodlands, fields, streams, and ponds. Wood Duck, Hooded Merganser, Kingfisher, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and Brown Creeper are all possible. We will make a side trip to Evergreen Cemetery if the Bald Eagles are again nesting there. The walking is easy, flat, and includes one dirt path through a wooded area. Total distance approximately 2.5 miles. Meet at the Edgewood Park parking lot next to tennis courts, entrance off West Rock Ave south of Whalley Ave, New Haven.
