NHBC’s book group, Birds in Words, is back in action, and in a new format for the present. The Birds in Words group has been sharing the joy of reading books on birds, birding, birders, nature, and naturalists since 2009. The group suspended its meetings at the start of the Covid pandemic; we are all looking forward to sharing our reading experiences again.
The book to read now is White Feathers: The Nesting Lives of Tree Swallows, by Bernd Heinrich.
Group leader Kris Johnson suggests that participants finish reading White Feathers by early November and then email her their comments about the book and their experiences in reading it, which she will compile and share with the group.
If you would like to participate in Birds in Words, please send Kris an email now, so she knows how many intend to take part. She also encourages you to let her know if you have titles to suggest for future reading. Kris’s email address is: kriswaxwing99@gmail.com. Happy reading.
