Town Center Park, Hamden

Two opportunities to explore Town Center Park in Hamden—Thursday October 31 at 3 p.m. (to coincide with the final Farmer’s Market of the season), plus the following Saturday morning, November 2, 2019, at 8:30 a.m., to allow for comparison of what’s seen at different times of day. This park is home to many human social events and hosts the athletic events of the Middle School. It also is a nature sanctuary, with a variety of common birds plus some surprising occasionals, and notable other animals including coyote, bobcat, and deer. Explore the recent changes to the park including a bridge across Shepherd Brook and a trail linking to the Farmington Canal Trail. This is a collaborative event with the Town Center Park Commission, the Hamden Land Conservation Trust, and the NHBC.
