September Indoor Meeting – Jim Zipp – Connecticut Birding Through the Seasons: Watching and Photographing the Ever-changing Bird life That Surrounds Us Throughout the Year
September 13, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
We’ll travel in time through a year in Connecticut and watch our bird life change just as our seasons do. Jim will talk about his photographic techniques and pass on some tips on how to improve your captures. Jim has been photographing birds for over 40 years. Much of that time has been in Connecticut but also includes travels throughout North America as well as visits to Central America. He has had thousands of images published over those years in publications including National Geographic, ABA Birding, Birdwatching, Wildbird, and Time Magazine in addition to numerous book and calendar projects. When not watching, listening to, or photographing birds, Jim can be found at The Fat Robin bird shop in Hamden where he, his wife Carol, and son Ryan help people enjoy birds more—whether through bird feeders, bird baths, or binoculars and spotting scopes.
